Editing
Editing is what i found hardest because i have never used final cut pro before and had never edited a film before this. The editing takes almost as long as it took to film because you have to keep a look out for continuity and making sure where we cut the audience wont be able to tell.
Charley did all the manual work e.g working on the computer and i just told her where best to put everything and we worked it all out together. Our film was about 5 minutes all together when we first cut it because we had so much movement in it that we didn't realise we needed to have it we can just cut to the actors at the next scene. We still have a lot to cut because we have to be very careful the film didn't have any obvious mistakes, we have so far used techniques such as freeze frames, voice over and I'm sure we will use more as we continue to edit.
We have used the universal distributor logo at the start to make it as close as we can to a real film in the cinema, in our opening titles the film Trainspotting they used a freeze frame of all the main characters and posted their names on the scenes so we interpreted this into our film and freeze framed on the actors posted their names on the scene to tell the audience who was who because their costumes were quite similar in our film.
Pictures of where we filmed, Cast List
We didn't have a big cast list because we had only two main characters to begin with in our opening sequence,
We wanted to cast two guys that looked scruffy and that were quite cheeky and guys that could be silly and act like idiots and have no clue about what they were doing.
We filmed once with Charley's brother and friend but we decided that they weren't what we were looking for and changed them to boys called
David Tann as Gary
Bogdan Klymeko as John
